Dear captains,
we are Anne & Dirk from Captain You in Berlin / Brandenburg. Our area is near Potsdam and since November 2020 we have the boat license and explore the Havel and its surrounding waters with our small vintage catamaran Terasa. We are not yet professionals, but use every free minute and enjoy the time on the water in togetherness. Whether weekend trip, swimming trip, vacation, city tour, dinner trip, fishing turn or mulled wine trip makes no difference – the main thing is that we are on the water and in nature.

Our drive
When water hiking, we are traveling at around 10 km/h. The journey is the destination and total deceleration is part of the concept. When it comes to boats, many people might first think of wealthy pensioners. But the opposite is the case here. Camping and self-built vans are becoming increasingly popular, especially among young people. Boating is like camping on the water, but with much more distance and peace with pure nature. The costs are also manageable and really far from luxury. Buying a boat was probably one of our best decisions ever. The quality of life and joy on the water is unique. Terasa our boar
Terase is a 7.50-meter long and 3-meter wide cabin cruiser made of GRP (fiberglass) from the Dutch shipyard K&S Polyboat called Kielkruiser. The draft is around 80cm and the weight around 3,000 kg. The vintage boat, built in 1984, is powered by a marinized VW T3 Bulli 50 hp 1.6 liter diesel engine. The displacer brings a maximum speed of comfortable 12 km/h on the speedometer. On board there is a V-berth for two people, electric seawater toilet including solar shower, refrigerator, 5 kW Webasto auxiliary heater, two gas stoves, grill and kitchen equipment, 100 liter water tank, 80 liter brackish water tank, 160 liter fuel tank, three solar panels, four 12 volt batteries, a power station, Bluetooth box, shore power, depth finder with GPS, radio, dinghy, fishing equipment and more.
